Annual Leave and Spare Turns from December 2013

Now is the time to remind drivers of the impending changes to some spare bookings that will be introduced when the

35 hour 4 day week is implemented from Sunday 8th December 2013.

From this date drivers can be moved beyond the current maximum 2 hour +/- from their spare signing on time to cover drivers that are on annual leave

On December 8th Farnham Establishment will be 71, therefore 8 (to be confirmed) drivers are permitted annual leave per day therefore a maximum of 8 (TBC) drivers can be used to cover them under this procedure.

From December 8th the weekly alteration sheet will be published as it is presently, there won't be any super spares, starred spares or lines of spares, ALL spares can potentially be used, up to a maximum of 8 (TBC) Drivers per day.

Drivers utilised under this procedure MUST and WILL be shown on the weekly alteration sheet, if they are not used under this procedure the normal 2 hour +/- movement applies on the 36 hour alteration sheet for all bookings.

Drivers will be booked in time order (unless mutually agreed otherwise) to cover turns where the booked driver is on annual leave subject to route and traction knowledge.

Drivers WILL NOT move from early turn to late turn or vice versa to cover drivers on annual leave.

Early turns are classed as turns that don't sign off after 18:30

(default time, can be changed locally if mutually agreed).

Late turns are classed as turns that don't sign on before 10:30

(default time, can be changed locally if mutually agreed).

Movement under this procedure is UNLIMITED as long as it doesn't conflict with the 12 hour rest clause.

Final reminder, this procedure is for ANNUAL LEAVE only, Rostered and Ad-Hoc, not any other leave
